What Does This Site Track When You Arrive From a Search Engine?

That information is used purely to count page views and to see which outbound buttons are clicked. It is kept in the operator's own logs on this domain and is not used for anything beyond that traffic count.
Alongside the path and event details, the content delivery network reports the country the request appears to come from. Nothing more precise about location, such as a town, a region or a device position, is collected.
What Do the Cookie and the Session Flag Do?
One first-party cookie is set, but only when a visit arrives from a search engine. It holds nothing except the name of that search engine, lasts for up to one hour, and exists so that a later click on an outbound link can be matched back to the search engine that brought the visitor here.
